Passion 2012 – Scholarship Meet-Up Photo Journalism Style

A week has gone by since we’ve all returned home from Passion 2012 and we have hit the ground running at LPM. However, because y’all were so involved in praying for our 1000 young women who we had the joy of sponsoring at LPM, I wanted to share these sweet moments with y’all.

Tuesday afternoon when we got to meet with the girls for about an hour, we were lucky to have Andy, one of the official Passion photographers, with us at the meeting who captured our time with them so well. I think most of us got a few quick shots with the cameras on our phones, but these turned out so much better and we are so thankful!

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’m going to let the pictures do the talking. We’ll just call it photo journalism! Grin.

Have a wonderful weekend, y’all!

Thank you so much for the pictures!! I prayed so fervently for the young lady whose name I had, along with my own son who was there too! I sit here with tears in my eyes, praying again for her and hoping that she went home with the same fire and desire and commitment that my son came home with!
Her name remains up on my kitchen cabinet to pray for.
Only eternity will show what all transpired and will be accomplished by their time there, and I look forward to finding it all out!
Bless you Beth for your love for women (of all ages!), and your passion for God and His Word!!

I have tears in my eyes as I read this post. I attended Passion 2007, and remember it like it was yesterday.

I remember sitting in a “girls only” session with you during which you told us you were going to “mother us, because some of us have never been mothered.” It moved me and continues to move me. I don’t remember anything else you said that day, but I do remember how you made me feel.

    Thank you.

What a blessing to see this, and thank you for letting us participate in prayer by name!

    These lyrics came to mind…..

Oh for a thousand tongues to sing
    Praises unto Thee.
Oh for a thousand hands to raise
    In honor to the King.

What an amazing time that was! God is soooo good & our girls will be able to put their heart, hands & feet to what they heard there, right here in our area. A new safehouse has just been aquired & they need lots of help cleaning, decorating & gathering resources so we are more than ready to help~ God will make a way for many girls to be rescued, restored & refreshed!

See y’all next week at the SSMT Celebration~ sk 🙂

What joy and praise! God in the midst of such beautiful ladies! Enjoyed watching live video.

Just the thought of wanting to know God so much you would reach just to touch the hem of his garment…how can we even imagine what it must have been like to want God that much.
To want to be with God so much you would risk everything, to fall at His feet humbly, to weep tears of repentence, to let Him change how your life for Him, to pour out your heart to Him and to cling to Him… filled with His joy!

What passion! A passion for Him is what we all need!

A desire to love God! To have faith, To have hope, to take what is undescribily very real, precious and most valuable_more valuable than silver or gold and believe with all your heart and soul, to take what is tested over time, to hold on to a faith that is stronger than any storm we might be facing, to hold on despite any loss or anything we may own, despite all our suffering, hurt or any pain we might endure, to hold on despite the lack of family, friends or lack of support…When faith is all you have despite the pressure, the unexplained, and all the “why’s” in this world and to be blessed by a Holy, Righteous God…what true faith, what a passion and love for God! Rejoice for His Word is true!…Know God..Believe!

    Molly (Siesta OC) says:

    I love the last picture.

The pictures that got me were the ones of the girls hands open, and I thought, its because I love that place where it feels odd, maybe a little weird, but that the thought of not opening and letting go to what GOD has is more weird, more frightful. That letting go, falling into HIM. Im learning it, Im loving it.

BTW – BETH, I am loving your hair…and skinny jeans.

    Molly (siesta OC) says:

I have my prayer name in my spiral. Every time I go over my scriptures I pray for her as well. And, I might say I am beginning to panic but also overcome with excitement about next weekend. With that said, I am going over my spiral about a million times a day. I find myself repeating them out of the blue as if they were a tune in my head.

Is anyone wearing anything in particular to set yourselves apart at the airport next Friday? Just wondering.

CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please join us there Lord!!!! We will be praising YOU.

I love seeing them right in the middle of all that worship!! Way to go girls – whoever you are – and not getting stuck in a pit of disability!

Beth, one of these days I would LOVE to meet you! The Lord has used you to help my through my own days of becoming paralyzed in more ways than you can ever know!

I really appreciated seeing these photos.
Beth, so many times my heart resonates with yours. I am leading 3 different groups of ladies through The Beloved Disciple study…we’ve just began last week. When you commented about having 10,000 friends, it made me laugh out loud. 🙂 I truly do feel like a treasured friend and see you as one as well. I have traveled to Israel 3 times now and Arie Harel has been my tour guide each time. I love him dearly and was so pleased to hear that he is your tour guide also. So many times in your studies, when you express your heart, it is exactly how I am feeling. Thank you for being so real and transparent.
I’ve just recently come across your blog here and have enjoyed reading it a bit. 🙂
God bless you greatly my dear friend in Christ!
