What a great compilation! I seen this earlier when I was searching for the introduction of Deeper Still. I can’t find it anywhere, and I dont know if it is the intro for every deeper still. It is the narrative like mother nature and talks about growth with a sprout. I know this sounds silly, but I dont know how to explain it. I have looked everywhere. Can someone help?
    Thanks

Kim you may be talking about the Artist Stephen Proctor who painted trees on glass panels- I was totally in awe- in the background at first was music and then a woman with a wonderful voice told the story of the growth of a tree and the storms of life – the tree is a picture of us and our lives as we go thru the seasons and then become a mature tree, having endured so much- I was desperate to find out more – I went on line and found him – here is the link to get a glimpse of what we saw http://vimeo.com12995216 let me know if this works. Blessings! Lynn

      • Kim says:

Yes this is exactly what I am talking about. I was so touched by the video with the lady narrating it. I wish I could find it somewhere. I would even purchase if I have to? I loved when the artist painted the glass windows…so touching! It was so powerful, its something amazing when 14000 people are gathered in His name!

      • Kim says:

Lynn, The link is dead. I went to his site and vimeo. Can’t find the introduction video. It was beautiful…I read somewhere that Travis wrote it and is strictly for deeper still. Hoping it will show up somewhere.
        Thanks
        Kim

        • Lynn Benefield says:

Kim I found it!- when you click on the link look at the very first video= called art fusion- it is the one= I shared it on my facebook

          http://vimeo.com/giinc/videos/page:2/sort:newest

          • gals-
I just saw all this chatter and am very moved. It’s a crazy thing to be a single young bachelor trying to do something involving art, imagery, music and words to stir the hearts of thousands of women who range in all sorts of ages.
It’s enough for me to understand ONE women much less thousands! πŸ™‚

I’m really glad the “art fusion” piece and the intro video helped create an environment where your hearts can be drawn in to the person of Jesus Christ even more. To do this for you gals is a privilege and a lot of fun!

My business partner Nate Griffin was the artist painting during worship. I was the guy behind the scenes pushing the buttons. I think i may know what the Wizard of Oz felt like, little man behind the curtain. haha!

Glad you all found the link… that video was from Denver’s Deeper Still and had a slightly different soundtrack and flow. We don’t have video of Birmingham’s “art fusion” piece yet but hope to soon.

I’ll will pass along your comments to Nate…he will be excited to hear about this!

one of the few brave men,

          • Kim says:

Thank you for sharing the link….
@ Stephen..thank you for the time to post. It is truly inspiring and your work is credit due. I was in awe by all of it. My hats off to you and Nate.

Oh if the introduction of Deeper Still 2011 could eb posted would be so awesome. Even if it is just a link where I can go and listen to. luv every bit of all the visuals, etc.
            Blessings

Beth, Below is my summary of your message I sent to friends and family. I am sending it to you in hopes of encouraging your continued willingness to do God’s work. Here is what I took away from your message.

Friends and family, I felt such a need to share the Christmas nugget shared this weekend by Beth Moore. I treasure each of you and wanted you to hear the message as well. With love, Libby

Lessons from a Teenager….. and Beth Moore
But Mary treasured all of these things and pondered them in her heart.
    Luke 2: 19
As I entered the Deeper Still conference this past weekend, I knew I was needing some grounding in regards to Christmas, Advent and my heart. I can intellectually say I don’t want the materialism the world throws down our throats, but at the same time I struggle with the majesty of the season and the innocence of true belief. God will never fail the girls and at this point in their lives, neither will Santa. It was Divine for Mary over 2000 years ago and it can be Divine in 2010 if only I will allow it! How can I learn from her example? She was barely a teen, who, as a woman, had been given the most awesome responsibility any woman walking this earth could imagine. She gave birth to the one and only child of God. Can you fathom? She accepted her responsibility, she put her faith in God and trusted Him regarding her relationship with Joseph, she found comfort and friendship with her cousin, Elizabeth and she met the requirements of Caesar Augustus when she traveled unknown miles to be counted. Her time came and she lay in hay to endure the most frightening event a woman faces – the unknown of childbirth. Her little boy was born and after nine months of replaying the meeting with Gabriel in her mind, it came to be. Christ was here and the world changed forever. Heavenly host sang, stars appeared, angels traveled to share the news, shepherds arrived and Kings brought gifts. All of these events occurred just as God had planned and what did Mary do? Thankfully Luke stops and tells us. She treasured these things and pondered them in her heart. She took the time to rest in the events of the experience and take them all in. She slowed down enough to savor the sweet moments and to remember the sweet gift given only to her. Isn’t that what God intends this time to be – a sweet gift of treasured moments with those we love. No, we are not in a chilly stable giving birth, but we are in the midst of lots of treasures. I want to stop, like Mary, treasure up all the sweet moments and ponder them in my heart. Remind me in the years to come that there is so much I can learn from a teenager!! Until then, Merry Christmas!!

Since I obsessively followed DS on twitter all weekend, it was a pleasure to watch the recap. I don’t know if DS in KY will become a reality for me, but I think it would be so neat! I’ve heard only wonderful things about it and ever since Tell Me How, years ago, I fell madly in love in Priscilla. : )

One of the ladies said the KY event may be the last time the “three” of them go out for DS “together”. We all fell in love with Priscilla in B’ham! Such powerful messages from all four ladies. Try your best to make it a reality.

Loved that and LOVED the song…gonna have to get it! And may I say, all of the speakers are so dang cute…Kay was looking especially fashionable with her little brown boots and scarf. I know that’s not very spiritual, but just had to say πŸ˜‰ Thanks for sharing that…I so wish I could have gone, but it looks like it was a blessing to all who were there. Well done!

Watching this video made me realize how brave Travis is – facing all these women. What a good sport! It must be God’s calling because what man would want to stand before all these women! Thank you, Travis and especially thank you to his wife for sharing him with us. Worship would not be the same with out him and we are truely blessed. I was privileged to be in Lowell to worship God through his ministry and to get a copy of his book. God is the heart of his worship and it shows. Thank you and God bless you, brother!

    Beth,
I came to Deeper still in desperate need of a word in many areas of my life and God delivered. I know when you spoke about your dad, it was specifically for me. There are many painful things I have held on to or went back for over the years BUT at the end I was with him and it is a treasure.

Just browsing through ‘Stuff Christians Like” (mentioned in Talk to Me Tuesday) and Jon’s entry for 12/6 was a recap of his time at Deeper Still and it made me laugh out loud! Here is what he said about our Beloved Siesta Mama! Or shall we say LL Cool B
. Beth Moore will make you feel like family.
My wife got to hang out with Beth Moore after the event and she could not have been nicer. But I promise, there’s not a lady in that crowd that didn’t feel loved by Beth Moore. Want to make your wife happy this Christmas? Get her a Beth Moore book. LL Cool J’s name stands for β€œLadies Love Cool James. I am no longer calling Beth Moore, Beth Moore. From now on, I will be referring to her as β€œLL Cool B,” because Ladies Love Beth.
    HA! Cracked me up!

    Beth,
Wanted you to know that I am still riding high on our weekend together in Rapid City.
It was truly what we used to refer to Church camp ” A mountain top experience” All those Christian women bonded in our love for Jesus.
You mentioned a bible verse about the bracelet you wore for years. Could you please share it again with me. I am thinking what a wonderful Christmas gift for the women in my life.
Thanks for being you and the love you share with others.

Going to Deeper Still was such a blessing in so many ways. Great messages by amazing teachers, met a bunch of wonderful people, a caring lady named Christy prayed with me, had GREAT seats (was SO worth getting up @ 4:30am!) was so happy to meet Priscilla S and talk to Melissa F.

Sat pm I drove to Memphis to spend a few days with a Siesta I met at the SSMTC last Jan, that was a great time of fun, fellowship, football and food.

Then on the way back to Nashville airport, I saw the Lifeway building and stopped in just to see. A sweet lady named Pam at the front desk gave me a Lifeway history book – that totally made my day! πŸ™‚

So after a difficult time and although I got sick on the way down, the trip was a huge blessing in so many ways, and none of it would have been possible without Beth, the Siestas, and all the great people at LPM and Lifeway. Thank you all for ministering to me when I really needed it.
    Love you guys

Snow, shmow. We had 3 inches and it shut us down. No kidding. It’s almost embarrassing. But then my husband reminds me that I really only drove one winter in Detroit, so I’m not quite the expert I purport to be πŸ™‚

I love the song, “Jesus Saves”….wish it was “In the First Light”, though! Oh my goodness…that one knocked my socks off!

The “Deeper Still” event in Birmingham was one I had been anticipating since the DS event in Greensboro, NC. The group I went with had planned to attend the B’ham event then. So many things have happened in our lives since the NC event. God continued to work in our lives to facilitate our trip this past weekend! He is an amazing God and so very interested in the smallest details in our lives. Praise Him!

I’m going to miss having this event as a resource for “recharcing” my battery!

I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved in this conference. It was amazing and the Lord was certainly glorified. The worship was outstanding and Kay, Priscilla and Beth definately were anointed and right on target. I was blessed to come with a friend of mine who is a missionary to India and my 11 y.o. daughter. God met each one of us and illuminated the next step in our lives– how stunning that the Lord can do that!!! Additionally, we were on our way home and we were discussing Beth’s talk about going back to barren fields and retrieving the treasure in that place. My friend, Zion, had just returned from 7 months in India and the trip had been very difficult. Suddenly, the Lord revealed to us that her treasure from that trip was a new baby in her womb. Sure enough, as soon as we got home, we ran to CVS. As the Lord would have it, her Clear Blue Easy test was positive! A great finale to a great weekend! Thanks again!

This was my first Deeper Still conference and I had been planning it for over a year. I ended up going solo but never felt lonely..I was surrounded by 13,900 Sisters in Christ..what an awesome feeling.

God delivered a Word through each speaker and the praise time was amazing.

I so enjoyed meeting fellow Siestas like Georgia Jan, Nikki Poppins, and BeckyJo Mamma for the first time. I was thrilled to meet Amanda and have a conversation about our kids.

Thank you Lifeway, LPM staff and everyone else who made this weekend possible.

Sorry this doesn’t really have to do with this post (though I’m sure it was an amazing time), but I wanted to make two comments.

The first one is funny. Did you know that there is a new entire line of hair products called Living Proof? Seriously!

Second, is Beth not doing a conference just for pastor wives this year?? I thought she
did it every other year. I even thought I got something in the mail about it this summer that it was going to be in Nashville in March 2011. Was I dreaming?

Okay, off topic but I had to share:

Last night, I went to dinner with one of my former college roommates so we could celebrate her birthday. Over dinner, we were sharing memories from our time living together and we started talking about how we used to lay in our beds at night and discuss who we’d rather meet: Celine Dion or Beth Moore. I wish you could have heard us last night; it was hilarious.

(Also, I hate to tell you this, but Katie has a candle featuring Celine Dion’s face on it.)

    (Yes, it’s really creepy.)

(But, as she pointed out, I have a book with your face on the cover sitting beside my bed so……..)

    Dear Beth:
I have been a huge fan of yours, and somewhat of a groupie for several years now….your studies have truly changed my life..
Recently, I have been doing breaking free….I was really making some headway…when I was blindsided by the news that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer…completely out of the blue. I am 42, have 3 beautiful children, I am a teacher of 70 middle schoolers…..and am really struggling with WHY NOW?????
I know that you have had many circumstances that you have faced that were not understandable…and I know all the right ways that I should be feeling and thinking…but I am really struggling with how in the world to handle this. Surgery is scheduled on December 23…life is spinning somewhat out of control…and I wondered if you have any advice that would help to get me through this. I know that God is able…even when He doesn’t …and that he’ll meet me in this fire…but I am very angry.
I know that you’re very busy, and probably don’t reply to most e-mails….but if you have any advice on preparing for what’s ahead…I would love to hear from you.
You are amazing..and I know that the 5 studies I’ve done in the past few years have probably been preparing me for this…so THANK YOU for sharing the God’s love which is the only place to find hope in the darkest situations.

Dear Deb, I’m a regular reader of these posts and a huge Living Proof and Deeper Still fan. I just want to encourage you in the Lord to walk in His peace, claim it second by second, know thoroughly and covincingly who you are in Christ. He has you. He has your kids, your home, your job, this has been in His sight since before you drew your first breath and He will not let you go now. Please know I am praying for you. I know you with all you having going on, do not have time for this!! But God will use the interruption too. Remember to look for it. This time next year – just think – you’ll have some awesome testimonies to share at this very special season. Let God take those emotions, feelings, doubts and fears, Sister. He is bigger than any of it. “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper, plans for a future…”

The message on treasures touched my heart so deeply. My dad passed last Nov. We had a very stressed relationship. Just a few days before he passed he sent me a precious letter asking forgiveness.
