Fourth of July ’10

We had such a wonderful 4th of July! I hope you did, too.

Our dog Beckham shares a birthday with the U.S.A., which is ironic because he absolutely hates loud noises like thunder and fireworks. Bless his heart. Here he was trapped on the stairs by the baby gate and waiting ever so patiently to be rescued.

Our little firecracker was having a rare moment of stillness.

She loved the cowboy hat that I’d found for Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS.

Curtis and Jackson did some little fireworks in my parents’ back yard.

Fun times with smoke bombs.

Mom and Annabeth.

You might not be able to discern from these pictures how obsessed Annabeth is with her Bibby.

After a feast of fajitas, we all crammed into the Suburban and headed to Pine Forest to watch the fireworks. Doesn’t my dad look comfortable?

Dad and my Pappaw.

Jackson wore himself out on the golf course hills with my cousins.

Mom and AB with Hannah and John. They just moved home from Japan and we’re so happy!

We spent every 4th of July at Pine Forest growing up, but hadn’t been in at least 10 years. I loved getting to bring my kids this year.

Jackson and Bibby.

The fireworks were great!

It was Jackson’s happiest night. Maybe Bibby’s, too.

I concur on the happiest night (judging by the faces) and I was wondering if Bibby might be a little obsessed with her Annabeth 🙂 too!

Our dog had a fit!! After we got home from our festivites, I began to call for her with no sign of her, I called again (fully conviced she had made a break for it by flying over the fence in her panic) and then I heard a faint constant thumping up against the fence…. she was wagging her tail as I called for her but WAS NOT, I repeat, WAS NOT going to come out!! Poor sweet girl hid herself behind/under the trash cans!! She has been weird ever since Sunday. Post traumatic stress disorder is what I tell my husband is the explaination!! Unlike our animal and more like your son Jackson, our weekend was a blast and full of memories. I LOVE fireworks, am a fool for sparklers (I am 28yrs) and just hated to see it end!! I am a small version of the paparazzi and document each holiday (ok practically each day) with my Nikon in hand so I LOVE when you guys post pictures!! Happy short work week to all the Siestas!!

We had a wonderful 4th of July. There was an awesome patriotic musical at church, and then we all went to my parent’s house. My brother put on a little fireworks show for my nephew in my parent’s yard. His dog was in the house while we were outside and by the time we all got back in the house, she was neurotic.

That’s what it’s all about. Being a family to one another and loving each moment that you get to grab together. Savoring each and every one of them (the moments and the family). You are all such an adorable, precious family. May God continue to richly bless you with many more moments such as these. Happy Day, Patti

I’ve never even been on a blog before. I just need to thank Beth and her staff for the incredible Bible Studies. The first one I did was on David and at that time my life was literally falling apart. That study pointed me straight to God and I have never looked back. Since then I have been through trials that make the one I experienced before look like a cakewalk but God has brought me through each one. I am so grateful to Beth for her obedience to God to put yourself out there for us to hear from Him through her. I am almost finished with the Updated Edition of Breaking Free and it opened my eyes wide to an area of captivity I didn’t even know I was in. Thank you so much.

    4. Faith: we can move forward into blessing while wheeping if that weeping leads us to prayer, repentance, obedience adn a closer relationship with God. No tears last foreveer and sometimes they make for very fertile ground.

Elaine: Your brave walk forward, although in tears, is a powerful witness – and those are seeds worth dropping.

The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face.
