Living Paints Ministries

Our staff celebrated Bethie’s birthday at Painting with a Twist.

Evangeline, Mom, Sabrina and Susan.

KMac, Michelle, Mom, Sherry and Jenn.

Diane, Mom, Kimberly and Linda.

Just call her Baby Hawk.

This is the original canvas that we were painting from.

This was not painting by numbers, people!

Evangeline was contemplating all the art with our instructor.

Breakfast treats, coffee, and juice.

Jenn and Sabrina drying the first layer of paint.

Michelle and I are swaying to Friends are Friends Forever.

We’re renaming ourselves Living Paints Ministries.

We were that fabulous.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Beth! I have a funny the other siestas might like. We got a flyer in the mail recently from Lifeway. It was addressed to “Director of Women’s Ministries”, and then had my Husband’s Name with our address underneath.

I really like these paintings! Sunflowers are the best. The pictures of all your paitings made me smile and that’s a feat for me lately- what happens when one doesn’t have the strength to hope anymore?

I know exactly where you are at emotionally sister. I feel like I have been camped in that spot for a looong time! Just REST under the shadow of His Wings. Praise Him no matter what and give whatever it is to him. Count all your blessings no matter how small right down to the clean sheets on your bed if you have one. If not, just for the gift of the day. I will be praying for you to have joy in your heart no matter what and the peace that passes understanding. Don’t give up hope. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Hope deferred makes the heart sick but when the desire comes it is a tree of life…

I meant to send this last week, but there were no posts on the actual day of Beth’s birthday…so, sorry it’s a bit late!

    Dear Beth,
Happy, Happy Birthday!!! I’ll share a quick story. These days I tell people that you have been the number one influence on my spiritual life in the past 10 years. Yep, it’s been just about that amount of time since I ‘met’ you. I was in my early 20s then and I knew little about the Bible. I ‘randomly’ came across an ad in the newspaper that mentioned your summer Bible study at the Aerial Theater. Do you remember that? I have no idea why, but I went. That first night you taught us the verse from Joshua 3:5 about consecrating yourself to the Lord. You also gave us those fun blue chords to wear on our arm. I decided at that moment that I would spend my next few years (presumably before marriage) ‘consecrating myself to the Lord.’ And honestly, by God’s grace and with your help I did just that. So, today I celebrate your life and the many blessings that have gone out from a life lived to glorify the Lord. Certainly, you have and continue to impact my life and that of many others. I pray that in this day you would feel especially close and loved by your Maker, your Friend. I pray the day will be filled with lots of love and joy and surprises from your loved ones and friends. And I pray God’s richest blessings on you for perfect health, peace, and strength for many years to come! I love you greatly.

Okay, now you know why it’s taken me so long to post a comment! I can’t even work the danged computer properly! Ha! As I was saying, my husband loves the Word so & it’s so neat if you two share the same birthday. I’m new to Siesta World….as well as a computer….and I’m loving it! I’ve participated in your Daniel & Esther studies. I actually did Esther while I was pregnant with my second child, Esther Grace. 🙂 She’s a doll and I’m praying her up to fulfill that name! I am so appreciative of your service to our Lord and can’t wait to become an active part of this blog. Thanks to all you Siestas out there for your encouragement and support! I’ve been reading and watching for a while now but can finally post! YAYYYY!

(Oh-I will also be celebrating my 30th birthday in Birmingham at Deeper Still this year. I’m so excited!)

I love the sunflowers! You guys did such a great job. I started painting my kitchen cabinets with sunflowers, free hand, but life happened and I haven’t been able to finish them up…this has inspired me to finish them this summer.

Also, a prayer request for my husband Ken….he is an ex-boxer, 53 years old, and has glaucoma in both his eyes. In his left eye he has lost 85% of his vision and the doctor said this week that it’s getting worse and there is nothing they can do but try to keep it from getting worse in his right eye, where he has lost only 20% of his vision. He is scheduled for leaser surgery next month on his right eye and later major surgery on his left. Please pray that he does not lose his sight and we can adjust to what lose he has already suffered. Thank you.

Hi, We loved having you all in the studio for Beth’s birthday! I’m so glad you enjoyed your creative experience! Cheers!

Oh Man, Ii would have loved to be thre for this. You are all a bunch of Picaso’s in the making. A talented bunch you are. My question is— Was it acrylic or oil?

I paint with acrylics. How fun was that. You all did such a great job.

I used to teach art at an after school program and I would paint a picture and then have the kids paint their own copy of it. It was always beautiful to see the way the children’s minds and eyes interpreted the vision I had.

I think Sabrina’s painting is the one that caught my eye. Her flowers were so lovely. You all did a great job. AMAZING. Painting is relatively new for me. I just decided to do it as an experiment of a new direction to take these kids in the art clas and it opened a whole new door of expression for me.

    Happy belated birthday Siesta Mama.

Drawer appliances faced with custom cabinetry are also on the
same trend. You need to find a designer who you can have
a good relationship with as you will be spending time together
and need to be confident and comfortable enough to have your
say into what aspects are important to you. L- Shaped Layout –
This layout includes a cabinet that’s arranged against two adjacent walls the same shape as the letter ‘L’.
