    Hilary says:

    Beth and team,
I am SO excited you are coming to my (adopted) hometown this weekend, and that my dear friend bought me a ticket to your conference for my 30th birthday, which was last week. This year has been an AMAZING year spiritually… faced with some really difficult struggles I FINALLY turned back to my God after wandering in a self-imposed desert for the past 10 years or so, and God has met me and welcomed me like the prodigal daughter in a HUGE way. Every day it’s something new and profound and life-changing… I have never felt so alive before in my whole 30 years of life on this earth. πŸ˜€

Same friend who bought me my ticket for this weekend invited me into a very small group study of your updated edition of Breaking Free. We are on week three now, and I have to tell you God is using this study to truly, truly, truly, TRULY set me free. This is speaking to me RIGHT AT the point of my need. I am so thankful for your life and for you pouring out your heart so that others, me, might benefit and learn and grow and MEET the Jesus you know, I know – we know together! I told someone the other day – “the thing I like most about Beth Moore is that her God is SO BIG.” and it’s true! I tend to be a very black and white thinker, but one of the things I have realized through Breaking Free is that God is black and white and every shade of grey in between, and He and His Word fit into every need like He is just poured into it. I love how I am seeing beyond just what the text says in His word to what the text can MEAN… so huge!

Last week we watched the segment where you talk about the woman with the issue of blood, and the tassles on the edge of Jesus’ garment, and how she reached out and grabbed on to one as he passed through the crowd, believing in Jesus for her healing. You said something to the effect of ‘if you have been sick with something for TWELVE YEARS and THE HEALER was passing by, wouldn’t you cross any barriers between Him and you to GET YOUR HEALING??!!!!’ and then you started listing ‘sicknesses’ and you started off with “EATING DISORDER” then “WEIGHT PROBLEM” and Beth, I have to tell you, I got those chills you were talking about because I had just been saying one of the idols in my life and things I want to be free from is my food/weight issues… I JUST turned 30, and when I was 18 I started out my food/weight issues with anorexia and spiraled from there… and that was TWELVE YEARS AGO!!! Twelve years I have been sick with food, sick of food, sick of myself, sick with myself and THERE walking through the crowd is MY JESUS and YOU HAD BETTER BELIEVE I AM GRABBING HOLD OF THAT TASSLE AND NOT LETTING GO!!!!!!!!

And yes, I’m shouting, because this breakthrough is huge in my life and I feel like I am finally, REALLY, starting to live, for the first time in my adult life, I am alive!!!

I have not felt anything like this “alive” since I was a young child just in love with Jesus and nothing else, before my dad died when I was 10, before my mom got remarried, before false doctrine permeated our lives when I was a teenager, before my disenchantment with church, before I fell hard into the real world as a young adult, before my eating disorder, my marriage, my miscarriage, my near death delivery, my two wonderful children, my career, my depression, my anxiety, my dissatisfaction, my perfectionsim, my anything. Before all of that, I knew Jesus, and I felt alive and felt joy in Him. And now He has brought me back to that place of joy and life again. Praise His Holy Name!

Beth, in the middle of the night that night after we watched that video, I woke up from a dead sleep with the refrain “fullness of Christ, fullness of Christ” going through my head over and over again. He literally woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me something. I tried going back to sleep but He kept saying “look it up, look it up” so I got up, got my bible, and started “looking it up”… and can I just say there are COUNTLESS passages that talk about being full in Christ, the fullness we have in Christ, being satisfied in God, etc… it’s practically every other page! Anyone struggling with a love/hate relationship with food… the answers are in His word!! I was humbly amazed… here I thought I had this disorder beat on my own, I could loose weight the healthy way by micromanaging points and portions, making myself sick of myself again and again, but really I was just lying to myself… now I have the real prescription for health, finally!! Of course, only a few days later I do the homework on being satisfied in God being one of our gifts as believers… HAHAHA!! I get it, God, you’re talking to me!!!!

I have been seeing a therapist, a non-practicing Catholic, since last fall when my life really bottomed out, and you know what she said to me a few weeks ago?
“Whatever it is you have I want, because I have never seen a life so transformed, not through YEARS of therapy!”

    Isn’t God amazing?!! πŸ˜€

SO… long story only a little shorter, I am thrilled to be coming together with you at the Van Andel Arena this weekend, and I am praying for everyone to find what they need at this exact time just as I have. I cannot wait for each new day to begin, for real! I want to see what God has planned next!!

    Love to you,
    Hilary

Keep walkin’ it out sweet siesta, the enemy’s not going to like it – but NOTHING is able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus! Rom 8:38. Praying for you and rejoicing w/the angels for your homecoming and that of your therapist also. There is none like Jesus.

Dear Beth and Amanda and my Houston Siestas, Since I am fairly new to the Houston area, I would like to take Ruth this summer but I don’t know a whole lot of people yet. Can you please help me? I live in Katy but am willing to travel to Houston if need be.

Thanks for all of your help.

    Kathleen Funk says:

    Dear Beth,

Guess what, I am 3 days away from finishing 90 Days with David and I have 1 more week to complete The Inheritance. I have also read your book So Long Insecurity. If you ask me which one I enjoyed more, I cannot answer that. I loved all three of them. Last year, I did 90 days with John, and this fall I will do 90 days with Jesus. Thank you so much for what you do.

I look forward to coming to your bible study on Tuesday nights.

    Thanks again.

    Kathy B says:

I so have you all in my prayers this weekend. I was born and raised in Detroit, but came to college in Tennessee and have remained. But my heart will always bleed “maize and blue.” I once heard Beth say her roots were buried deep in Arkansas soil, but she was Texas tall πŸ™‚
To steal her analogy, my roots are Michigan deep and as tall as my country music hairdo. I pray God’s great encouragement to a state that has suffered more during this recession than probably any other specific state. I love you girls!

Hey Siestas, I just got home from getting a pedicure and manicure, now a girl has to do something special for herself on the weekend that she is going to a Living Proof Live Event with Beth Moore, don’t you think?

I am excited for tomorrow night, I just hope that the next 24 hours goes by fast…who is attending from the Kalamazoo area?

I can hardly stand it–I’m SO EXCITED for this weekend! Although I have to tell you, I was concerned…I didn’t think there was a Starbucks in the downtown GR area. Rest assured, however, there’s one in the hotel. So, make yourself at home, LPM, we’re glad you’re coming!

Believe it or not, I still cannot decide if I can swing coming to Grand Rapids tomorrow or not. I’m going to sleep on it! I SOOOOOOOO need a good Word, but am on my way to my niece’s graduation on Sunday. Should I go or not? I’m waiting on God for an answer quickly!! Beth prayed for my marriage the last time she was in Michigan (and I saw a miracle!) and just tonight I’m needing another miracle in my marriage! A huge miracle!!

I’m Praying for everyone who is able to be there!

I had the privilege to attend the You Lead women’s ministry conference today, and it got me totally fired up for the Living Proof Live event this weekend! It was wonderful to sing praise to our God, surrounded by so many other women. The workshops were great; I came away with some great ideas for ministry. Chris Adams gave a short, but very powerful, lesson on Joshua and how God called him to leadership. It was a blessed day, and I’m looking forward to praising and learning together with sisters in Christ on an even bigger scale tomorrow night! Thank you for coming to GR!

I bought my ticket way back in October. I am soooooo excited – this couldn’t have come at a better time than thisl I’ve been following the blog for about 6 months and it has been a blessing to me. I feel like I know you on a different level. I have 2 daughters that are 28 months apart (Anna Grace age 8 & Julia age 6) so I especially enjoy hearing stories of you (Beth) and your daughters. What a gift for you to see what women of God they are. I’m praying & hoping that my daughter’s will continue to grow in the Lord!

Thank you for all you do and more importantly for listening to God & His promptings! Can’t wait!

    Terri Gillis says:

Beth, 3 years ago I was invited by a girlfriend to go with her small group and see you at the Cobo arena…I hesitated and wasn’t sure. Then they mentioned they were going to stop at IKEA and of course I was in. I will never forget you talking about it being Jackson’s first birthday that day and how you were going to be seated at the table that evening when that candle on his cake was lit. The event was an absolute revival for me in my walk and I’m so thankful for your obedience to go where Christ leads you and for your trust in Him that He would you seated at the table that evening. Isn’t it so ridiculous that I thought I was going to IKEA??

I’ve done several of your studies and just recently completed breaking free. He caused an earthquake in my soul and I am FINALLY free of a stronghold that satan had me believing I would never be rid of. I wanted this stronghold to be erased from my memory as bad as I’ve ever wanted anything in my life but I’m thankful for the reminder that you offered me that if the memory were erased I would forget what My Redeemer had delivered me from.

You don’t know myself or my group but we love you dearly, are so thankful for all the ways you have challenged and encouraged us with your teachings of His truth. We all stood with our arms wrapped around each other lifting you and your team in prayer at 10:30 last night. We can’t wait to see you.

Blessings to you and yours, we love you, can’t wait to see you, listen to you and laugh with you. Thanks for keeping it real!

Grand Rapids is abuzz and ready to receive His Word!! Bring It, girl!!

Thankfully, Terri (and my girls at Crossroads Wesleyan!!)

    Kim says:

    Dear Beth,
I will be with you in Grand Rapids today and tomorrow and I am writing to thank you for your faithfulness. I feel a special kinship with you (as do millions of others because of your genuine, loving nature!!!), because it was 3 years ago in Detroit, MI at your LP session that God clearly called me to teach. I will never forget it because I was absolutely PETRIFIED. Truly, I felt like Moses (“I don’t know enough, why me?”). However, God in His gentleness, reminded me that it was by HIS power and not by mine that I would teach. He has provided opportunity and equipping many times since 2/07, and I feel so blessed to be used by Him. I am here at the Courtyard with my sisters in ministry who have had years of Bible schooling and I am feeling like such a ‘baby’ in Christ and in this humility I feel so grateful that God has given them to me. In my old ways I would have felt intimidated by their knowledge, now I am eager to learn from them and pray that I can bless them in some way too.
Again, thank you so much, Beth for your love for the LORD, your passionate pursuit of Him, your love for his people and your faithfulness to serve. You are a blessing to many many on this planet. May God bless you and Keep you and make His face shine upon you all the days of your life!

    Love,
    Kim

My aunt and I have had our tickets for this Grand Rapids event since October! We are so thrilled and excited to get to see Beth live tonight and tomorrow – we are making it a much needed girl’s retreat of sorts! We are praying for the LPM team and look forward to hearing the God-inspired message for this weekend!

    Kori says:

Its making me stinking crazy not to be able to sit under Beth’s teaching in my corner of the world.

THANK YOU BETH!!!! For your wall-crumbling vulnerability, truth-begging honesty, Christ-contagious passion, mask-dropping humor, and long-sought God-toward answers for my brokenness! You have dealt me – and countless others – an addiction Whom alone satisfies, restores, cleanses, rebuilds, and wields victory upon victory.

Thank you for the humility and whole surrender you gave the LORD, such that we yearn for – as you put it – some of what you got with Him… ALL of what you got with Him. Thank you for your tireless generosity in enthusiastically spreading the life-reviving message that Jesus is yearning and able to transform our moments and thoughts for His Glory!

May the LORD be ever so present with you and everyone you minister to here in Michigan this weekend. You all will be in my prayers while my hilljack self is stuck here building a stall for our new kids….think goats πŸ˜‰

    BLESSINGS!

    Yvonne says:

Woo Hoo!!! I LOVE doing studies on here. I will also be doing the study on Revelation with a group from church, but since I am a teacher and have the summer off, I think I can handle it. I get so caught up with school work during the school year that I love being to spend more time in the Word during the summer. Not sure if I will doing this with a group or solo, but either way, I am THRILLED!!!!!

Thanks Beth for doing this again this summer. I missed last summer because I wasn’t sure if I would have internet access where we were staying in England. I missed doing it!!! I would get online and read/watch the videos (yes, I ended up having internet) and wish I had gotten the book in order before I left for England.

    Heading to Lifeway soon!!!

Just returned from the Grand Rapids LPL tonight. Lessons from out on a Limb. I love it! Just finished filling my husband in on everything that was shared. Beth spoke directly to a conversation He and I had last evening about areas in our lives that need attention. Areas that we are allowing to rule over us. Thanks Beth for allowing God to rule over you!! Can’t wait to learn more tomorrow!

I have had such a “HIT” of God these past 2 days, I just had to share. HOKEY PETE! Beth, thank you so much for blessing us here in Grand Rapids with your precious message. I can’t tell you how much I absorbed from this weekend. Things I have learned over Friday and Saturday:

    a) Artist jobs everywhere (especially those who draw trees) are safe and should not feel any threat from me

    b) El Shaddai could bring me to tears

    c) the church that Travis is going to is amazingly blessed to have him come on staff

d)I have some big thorns that I need to remove.

    e) my new favorite phrase when my 2 boys are fighting, “YOU BROOD OF VIPERS!” πŸ™‚

f)I am so thankful for the call of God on your life

God bless you Beth. I pray daily for you and praise God you are so willing to share your time and God breathed talent for speaking with us.

So thankful that God didn’t just see the tree, that he saw me.

Nothing was going to keep me away from hearing Beth in my hometown! Anyways, I’ve had a lot of stuff going on in my life for the past year, and I got such a word from God on Friday night that I left the arena with my legs weak, my knees shaking, and dizziness! In September, i was able to be in the delivery room with my oldest daughter and her husband, and be there to hold my 1st grand child when she was born!
I was taking care of my parents, and helping them financially for meds and such because even WITH insurance, the co pays were terrible..This time with them gave me a chance for healing, and restoration with them, espically my mom..
In December, dad went into the hosital, and from there into a rehab place so he could heal, and get his stength back..Sadly, he never came home.. He passed away on 13 Feb, 2010.
Moms healh declined very quickly.. i chose to stay home and care for her, with the help of Hospice.. WHAT AN AMAIZING opportuity God gave me! WOW! Mom passed away on 25 April 2010..a week after mom passed away, i was hospitalized with COPD, pnemoia, and bronchial asthma, and they found im a type 2 diabetic..spent a week in the hospital.

My close fiend who is a hairdresser, hand a client who was there to have Julie do her hair, and she said to Julie.. ” oh! i have two Beth Moore tickets that arent being used.. ya want them? ” julie said, yes… then she prayed and said, ” Lord if this is what ou want, we will be able to get a room..
Well, she called her husband who isa pilot, to see if he had any points or whatever its called to get a room..He called her back, with a hotel and a room number! My husband has been unemployed for the last year and 1/2. For the last 9 years I have been doing Beth’s studies and my mother felt this was something I needed to go too. So she bought me a ticket and we had a blast! Thank you for coming to GR. In a lot of ways I feel like I have been living out on the limb waiting to see where we go next. This was a great reminder that Jesus is right there with me.

God Bless you, your family and your team!

The LPL conference in Grand Rapids was off the hook! I learned so much and am so grateful to have experienced it with my sister and her two daughters. Two generations of sisters sitting together, learning together and worshiping God together. It was a beautiful experience.

I was wondering if you could post the statement Beth had us say to one another at the end of the second session. I would love to have that to tuck into my Bible and remember all that I learned from the weekend. Thanks in advance!

I was blessed beyond imagining to be the Grand Rapids City Coordinator!

The staff of Lifeway’s Womens Events are big time impressive — yes, they are great at what they do, but of utmost importance they are amazing women of faith in Christ. His name was honored through them!

The YouLEAD training conference on Thursday and Friday is the best I have ever been to. A huge shout out to the trainers who ministered to us and helped better equip us to serve the women in our churches and sphere of influence.

Living Proof Live… Thank you dear Beth for sharing yourself with us this weekend and speaking God’s Word to us. Everyone who knows me gives me a hard time that I don’t eat fruit (or veggies for that matter)… but this tree is trusting God to produce fresh fruit in my life so I can walk worthy of His call on me. Oh, yeah and now I can’t get that Zaccheus song out of my head – my GR Team girls (Rhonda and Becka) will be telling their kids, grand kids and great grand kids about when they sang about the Sycamore Tree with Beth Moore for generations.

Please hurry back to MICHIGAN… we will be waiting!

    Elizabeth says:

Beth, I just have to say that this past conference in GR was absolutely a gift from God! I was blown away by God and worshiping Him! And I am ready to get down from that tree because MY SAVIOR is coming to my HOUSE TODAY and TO STAY!
I wanted to share that your and your ministries prayers that financial revival would happen in Michigan was answered for our family of 5. My husband who was a mechanical engineer for General Motors was laid off 1 1/2 years ago. By the grace of God we survived this, but the greatest news was that the week of the conference He received a job offer and will be starting next week! Knowing that people whom you never even met before are praying is such an awesome feeling.
You are a blessing to all who hear you and I pray that the Lord continually refreshes and renews you and your family daily.

    Beth,

Thank you for the conference in Grand Rapids, MI this last weekend! Oh my goodness sakes! I heard the Word of the Lord through you and the team and let me tell you…I came home INSPIRED! I was so inspired that I was BOLD and made a video blessing to post on my facebook for my friends, family, and those who may be listening that I do not know. The Lord bless you more than you can possibly imagine. Keep strong in the Lord…

I hope you are blessed by the Blessing Song as well.
