Thank you for your prayers, my dear sisters! No news yet on whether or not Curtis might be able to come home tomorrow. We’re so hoping he will. His parents have already begun their long trek south from Missouri. They will drive late into the night, check into a hotel, then get up early in the morning and drive the rest of the way into Houston. AJ just walked through the door of her house and I’m about to pack up my car and head home to my man. Yes, he’s back. Jackson got to have a blast with him tonight. He needed some man time in the worst way.

I got a little more preparation for Saturday’s simulcast done during nap/rest time today and will turn my attentions to it completely first thing in the morning. Thank goodness, it doesn’t start on Friday night like a regular LPL would. You’ll know I didn’t get all my preparation accomplished if I resort to reading “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs” as an illustration. Please have my back on it though. Turn to the woman sitting next to you, nod, and say, “Inspired!” I could also run through all the animal sounds I’ve perfected into an art formĀ in order to keep Annabeth awake in the car until we made it home forĀ naptime.

OK, signing off and heading home! Btw, did you guys know that Travis will be joining us this weekend? You don’t really think I’d try serving you without him, did you?

I’ll talk to you soon!

    Dear Beth,

It sounds like you life has been as hectic as mine. I pray that soon all is back to “normal” and everyone feeling well. When I get done with this note, I am going to finish my discussion blogs that I have missed in my absence. Before I do that, I want to tell you thank you for being a faithful servant and putting the SLI study together. Only the Lord knew how much I would need that these last few months and much your words in Laramie would help me deal with the death of a loved one. I didn’t understand back then why the Lord was teaching me what he did, but I can see a new me – a secure me- in light of it all.

As we approach this weekend, I am very excited to see all the Lord will do. My mother and aunt will be there and I pray it will be life changing for them – to heal relationships and to break free of the past and present insecurities that are effecting their relationship with each other and myself. It is time for the cycle to end. I would share more but I don’t want to cause anyone else pain.

May you get some rest and see you Saturday!

Praying and will continue to pray!

Also, pray for us here in Memphis, TN. We are hosting the Simulcast at Faith Baptist and they are calling for terrible storms on Saturday…..thunderstorms, hail and possible tornados! But we know who has control over the weather and we will “Trust Him” no matter what. (Sounds like the last chapter, doesn’t it?)

    We love you Beth!

I think it is NO COINCIDENCE AT ALL that God is getting you ready to talk about INSECURITY by giving you less time than ever to prepare. : ) And yes, we’ve got your back… by lifting you up!!! : ) Actually He’s got your back anyway… I believe with all my heart that’s what Psalm 121 means when it says He watches over our coming and going both now and forevermore. : )

Well, that makes sense! Yesterday me and one of my siestas prayed for you and your family and I hadn’t been on the blog in a few days and did not know what was going on…now I know! Thank you Holy Spirit for your promptings!
Looking forward to this weekend from Charleston, SC!

Still praying… and I’m sure that if you had to resort to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Holy Spirit would give you divine inspiration to make it relate! šŸ˜‰

I am so excited to attend via simulcast on Saturday… So much so that I have picked out a new nail polish to wear with my cute shoes (even though you won’t be able to appreciate them through the tv). The nail polish’s name?… It’s Possible. You bet your toes it is. Can’t wait!

I hope Curtis has been able to come home today for everyone’s sake! I hope he has a good couple of days before you head to Atlanta! May God and His Holy Spirit be with you and all your family during these next few days and give you all peace about each other! In Jesus Christ’s Name Amen!

Can’t wait –will be there with a dear friend and another lady who is new to you Beth. She’s a young Christian at heart but doing her thang by getting in the word in Breaking Free this semester and now attending this with us!!!!

Can’t wait until Saturday! My mom and two sister-in-laws are coming into town Friday night and staying with me..whoo hoo. Hopefully we will catch some sleep and make it in time Saturday morning in Woodstock. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to do some of the animal sounds you have perfected. A duck call or deer grunt just might wake us up if we’ve had a long night and couldn’t find any of the Costa Rican coffee with berries. šŸ˜‰

    Ashley says:

Beth, I will be praying for you through Saturday, for God’s mercies and grace to sustain you because of the crazy week you’ve had. And I’m also praying for Curtis, for a quick recovery! And for Amanda, for patience and an extra dose of strength!

Looking forward to Saturday here in San Angelo, TX!

    Dear Beth,
I have been praying for Curtis and your whole family as my husband had his appendix burst when he was in the military (before we met) and he said it was a nightmare. I’m signing on a little early as a roll callee because I can hardly wait for Saturday’s simulcast. Our church is a co-sponsor here in Albuquerque and we’re all going to be together as a family group. I’m very glad to hear you’re resting your foot. Unfortunately, even if you went to a doctor, all you would be able to do is get a bandage, (I’ve not heard of getting a cast for a little toe) just wrap your foot with an ace bandage and try not to hit it against anything. Your faithfulness to us and most importantly, to Jesus is inspiring and praiseworthy. To God be the glory. Forever, AMEN.

I’m not sure if this is the proper place to put this, but I just wanted you to know what a difference your studies have made in my spiritual growth. At the present time, there are 5 of us ladies doing your Esther study at my home. We love it. I love the fact that we get to explore the scriptures without being rushed. We only have 3 more lessons to do. So sad. We have done all your studies-some more than once. I personally have done Paul 3 times and would do it again. Thanks for all the time and effort you and all those involved put into these studies. God blesses so many because of your willingness to be used. Thank you and God bless.

We are continuing to pray for complete healing for Curtis and rest and relief for Amanda and the children. Praying also for all of those attending this weekend in person and by simulcast. May the WORD break loose and do A NEW THING in every heart!

Praise God for your ministry and for “So Long, Insecurity”! Since first hearing of the conference and reading the book, I have prayed for He Who is able, to do “exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ever ask or imagine” for His Glory through this Simulcast. Praise You, Father. On Saturday, I will be surrounded by a large circle of fellow Princess Heirs to the King eager to hear His Word!

Will not be able to join you on Saturday. I’m so sad, could not find a place to join you so far north here in Canada. Will be praying though as I take care of my two adorable little Grandsons! Will there be cd’s for sale of the day?

If I could put in a request, since you mentioned Travis will be there…is it possible to have “In Christ Alone” in the worship set? One of my most memorable worship experiences is during that song at the simulcast last September, and I’d LOVE to hear it again (although I do have the CD in my car and listen to it daily, the live version while worshipping with so many other women is amazing!). Thanks for considering my request! šŸ™‚

    Dear Beth,

It is a funny thing, this blog. I started the SLI journey thinking, ā€œIā€™m sure this will be insightful, but Iā€™m not THAT insecureā€ (boy, was I wrong!) And now, the simulcast is tomorrow and because of scheduling I am not able to go :(. I feel like this has been such an intimate journey and that Iā€™m letting my teacher and fellow-now-secure-Siestas down (like there were only a handful of us meeting in a weekly study) and now Iā€™m going to miss the big wrap up to celebrate our new-found security?!?! I could cry! Iā€™m not going to, because a sovereign God has caused it to happen this way for my good and His glory, but I could!

Iā€™m amazed that in a community of THOUSANDS of women, I can feel like one in an intimate Bible study setting and like someoneā€™s going to notice I didnā€™t make it to the simulcast. Not because of insecurity, but because of celebrating together in what God has delivered us from through this.

Anyhow, thank you for your labor of love, Beth. God has truly gifted you. Hope the simulcast brings great glory to God and good to his people.

    In Christ,
    Katie

Woo! Woo! It’s finally Saturday! I am: Looking forward to SLI and to joining Travis and his team in lifting up my voice in praise! Praising the Lord that Curtis is swiftly on his way to a full recovery! Lifting Siesta Mama and her entire family up in prayer!

    Psalm 18:32-34
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

Just returned from the wonderful simulcast in Bethlehem, GA, not far from the live version! Pretty cool! Loved it and realized I have been in self protection mode for so long that it has robbed me of the joy Christ has for me. I love listening to the stories you read to us, Beth, from other women who write in and have never written on the blog before myself. Just wanted to say that I never feel fully “protected” and always have felt so very vulnerable to scorn, ridicule, or attack from my coworkers and every one around me. As you can probably guess, I am a survivor of abuse fight shame and insecurity every day for who I am. Others look at me and seem to think I have it together, as they so tell me. I do not yet. I may never in this life. However, I struggle and fight continuously the enemy who wants me to believe I am no good. Thank you for letting God speak to me through you. With His grace and mercy, I will continue to hold on to Him who gives me grace and a reason to feel secure. Thank you, Beth

This is one Siesta who wasn’t planning on doing the simulcast and then this morning I couldn’t stand it, the Lord was beckoning! I jumped on the website to find the closest church. Frederick Christian Fellowship in Frederick Maryland was VERY GRACIOUS to let me register and attend this morning. I was very blessed. Thank you.
