Some WP Hints and the LPL Tucson Recap

A few bits of randomness this morning:

-When you leave a comment, you only need to fill in the web site field if you have a blog or personal web site that you’d like people to be able to visit when they click on your name. If you don’t have one, you can just leave it blank.

-Feel free to use whatever screen name you were previously using in the name field.

-Our old avatars (pictures) aren’t showing up here because WordPress does not recognize our Blogger/Google accounts. Several siestas have recommended going to Gravatar.com to get a free universally recognized avatar to use. I think we all miss seeing the beautiful faces next to the comments!

-Did you know that you can respond directly to another siesta’s comment by clicking “reply” underneath her comment? (Otherwise, you’ll just scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the comment box.)

-Unfortunately, we lost the comments that were left on the blog over the weekend. I’m so sorry about that. Please feel free to type your comment again if you would like to.

-Did you know that Rich, our wonderful Living Proof Live photographer, and his wife just had their first baby? She was born a few days before the Toronto conference. (That’s why we didn’t have a recap video for that event.) Rich has promised to send me some pictures of Baby Polly to share on the blog. She is beautiful! In the meantime, please enjoy the Living Proof Live Tucson recap video. Thanks, Rich!

    Beth,
Thank you for a beautiful, wonderful weekend in Tucson. It’s always a blessing to sit under your teaching and ever so special to do it surrounded with family and friends. You will never know how great a gift it was! My daughter was in a different car and went to In’N’Out without me Friday night. I’m workin’ on that forgiveness thing!! 😀 Big hugs! Peggy C

I’m enjoying your blog as well as all the bible studies you have made….I am a cancer survior and I live in a small town in Oklalhoma and I made this blog http://www.dianawilkersonbryan.blogspot.com to be an inspiration to others. I had stage 4 anal carcinoma (like Farrah)and I opted to eat healthy and juice and it went away. God knew what he was doing when he created the Garden of Eden! Please feel free to share this blog to your friends who have health problems. Love you Beth! Diana

Christine, that is awesome!! Thank you for telling us that story!

Beth (and Christine) – The three ladies who sang at the event – What are their names? I have been looking for their CDs (if they have them?) ever since the Deeper Still event in OKC! Thanks 🙂

I’m so glad to find you safe and sound in your new wordpress home. A gentle tip, the redirect from the old site isn’t working properly in Windows. I have to go through the http://www.lproof.org site to get here. If someone else knows what is going on I’ll happily take their advice, because it is always possible that I messed up. Moving is such a pain.:)

We did have a local photographer, Graham Pavey, in Toronto. We’ve had some delay in getting the pics but I’ll send them as soon as I can. The Toronto event was so special! You’re gonna love the pics.

As one of the women blessed by the event in Tucson I want to say THANK YOU. I can only imagine the work that goes into all the organizing and traveling. Beth gave us so much meat to chew on, I’m sure I’ll be going over my notes for WEEKS. There were about 20 women from my church, several of us going through some really tough health and life change issues (one in our group had a mastectomy on Monday she NEEDED to get some Truth spoken over her and to her as well as get some time with her sisters). The music touched us so much so that I’d LOVE to see somewhere a list of songs that get sung at these events so we can bring them back to our churches!
And as much as the nature of this ministry leads us to adore that Jesus-lovin’-riot Beth, please know that the many MANY hands and hearts behind the scenes are reflected in the ways we are able to hear and see what God has for us. THANK YOU.

I love watching these videos. It is so heartfilled singing others praising God and listening to what the Holy Spirit wants them to hear. I am always fascinated with Rich the photographer and the pictures he captures. The most touching ladies who were I bet Grandmas (touched my heart) and the picture where one lady is praising God to her hearts content when everyone is else is sitting down. I wish I could do that.

    Blessings,
    Jina

About Tucson – THANK YOU, Beth! Often wonder why – when C.S. Lewis says that the Resurrection is the central theme in every Christian sermon in the Book of Acts…that the Resurrection and its consequences, were the ‘gospel’ or good news which the Christians brought…that Paul says without it our teaching, faith, works and hope are all in vain… that no one seems to teach on it. I loved the weekend – especially that you taught on the Resurrection – reminding me and others – because the tomb is empty – life is full for believers. It was powerful! and timely! Thanks again. p.s. my man was there and had to get the janitor in an adjacent building to let him into the men’s room 🙂 but he thought the event was well worth the “inconvenience.”
    Because He lives…
    Dianne

Oh, Tucson! What an amazing time. I am from NM and had my best friend from LA join me. We laughed, cried, and worshiped together as we gained strength and encouragement from God’s Word through Beth. We are counting the days to the next event we can share together!

I’ve never done this before, but wanted to share what a blessing the Tucson LPL was. My daughter has moved to Tucson and I took the opportunity to visit her and introduce her to Beth Moore. She had never been to an event and hadn’t heard of Beth – hard to believe since I’ve done most of her Bible studies. We had a great time and the time of affirmation was powerful for us. She said that Beth gave her things to think about. She loved that Beth was so down-to-earth and easy to listen to. She’s a christian, but isn’t plugged in anywhere and I was glad that there was a hand-out about local churches. I loved so many things, but especially loved that we will know others in heaven, that our souls will be the same. Anyway, my prayer was that God would prepare my daughter’s heart and of course, He did.

OH! it was so amazing to see the beautiful time had by all in Tucson… I must admit, I was very tempted to hit the road and drive 10 hours to Tucson after finding out the SoCal event in July has been sold out for awhile!!! I was sooooo disappointed & don’t see any others within driving distance. Well, God knows what I need… Beth, I just want to say that my dear mom went home to be with Jesus on Dec. 21st at age 90. She lived her life as a very anointed preacher and teacher of the Word, and I have not heard anyone with her same anointing until you! We are kindred spirits because of that & I pray that your ministry will take you well into your “elder years” like my sweet mom.

First ever blog & first ever attendance of a Beth Moore event there in Tucson. God sent me all the way from Honolulu for this and boy was I blessed, as was my sister, who lives in Phoenix. Only regret, I did not tell Beth as she stood next to me on Saturday morning with a microphone just how much God had touched me with her sharing on I Corinthians 15.
He is RISEN! He is Risen INDEED! That empty tomb is a life filler, a heart filler, a soul filler and a spirit filler! Thank You for Your mighty Power and Love, Lord Jesus!
