Little Miss Princess Siesta

It’s a GIRL!!!! A G-I-R-L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are beside ourselves. Out of control. Come mid-February we will have a brand new little Siesta. The crowd at the mall better part like the Red Sea. Let me to some pink.

Thank You, Father. We’d have loved another boy like crazy but You had a woman-child on Your mind. You have flipped two families. Thank You.

So, Beth, are you all safe and sound back at home in Houston…inquiring minds want to know!!

I would assume so with this wonderful news you are sharing. I guess the only way to find this out is for Amanda to visit her doc back in Houston?

Praising the Lord with you…our little girl was born 7 weeks ago and it is such a blessing…I’m sure Jackson will be just as taken with her as my boys are with their sister…it’s such a blessing to raise both! I remember in Boone, May 07 when Beth told us that if Pink was a choice then clearly it was the will of God! Have fun shopping!
    Love to you all

GLORY TO HIS PERFECT NAME!! Woo Hoo!

As the Mom of three boys, I can’t tell you how filled I am with joy and expectation with you!!

I saw a precious little girl with a “Pebbles Flintstone-like” blond ponytail sticking out from the top of her head at church just this past Sunday…..I literally melted a little inside as I fell in love with her. Not only was she adorable, she was wearing those little lace (fold over) fancy socks and patent leather shoes!!!!

Be still my heart, I tell ya!

Love and Blessings to all of you!

Oh Beth, how exciting. I must admit I prayed for a girl for Curtis and Amanda. I have one of each and what joy they bring. I so wanted them to experience having both. So, with our little princess Siesta on the way I just know Amanda and Curtis want US to help name her…right???? Just kidding of course. God is so good and continues to answer our prayers. I pray for complete restoration to Texas and for everyone to be safe and ok.

    God Bless

How exciting. I just gave my husband a heart attack. I was in the kitchen starting supper and as he was walking through I so excitedly announced that WE are having a girl. He got the strangest look on his face and said, “we who”!?!?!?!?!? Considering I had my tubes tied three years ago. And with a “duh” tone in my voice I said AMANDA, Beth’s daughter…I told you she was expecting. And he was like, oh yeah. Oh yeah, excuse me….I think he was just re-leaved it wasn’t ME.

God Bless and praying for all you Texans and for a healthy baby princess Siesta and mom.

YAHOOOOOO!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! We just welcomed a sweet little girl into our family. Miss Kensley Edith Elouise Silva was born September 4th! I bought her the cutest pink John Deere boots before she was born. I love them so much that I’ve decided that I am absolutely going to send a pair your way for your new little Miss Blessing! Be checking the mail because they are on their way!

Beth, you know how much we love you and how excited we all are for this little one! I keep thinking…"and the Lord God made a WOMAN!" I know how special she is to both of you but think how much more special she is to her heavenly Father! He is knitting her together right this minute and she is going to be perfect. Oh may she never know the pain of a pit or a shackle to be freed from! But may her heart be full of compassion just like the heart of Jesus.
Amanda…I'm squealing with excitement for you! I have been thinking pink since you first announced her debut! Ballet lessons or rodeo riding…whatever she prefers…you are in for so many blessings! May God bless you all as you anxiously await her arrival…

    Names?

Choose whatever you like but please not a Bible name like "Gomer." 🙂

    Dear Beth and Amanda,

Congratulations to you both and the whole family! Amanda, you will enjoy experiencing all the differences between baby boys and baby girls. It’s amazing. My Ben just ate and slept, but Avery (my girl) couldn’t miss ANY action. Can’t wait to meet your little princess. Perhaps she could accompany Mama Siesta to Fargo next summer for LPLive? Enjoy your shopping! So happy for you!

Congratulations! Brought back a flood of memories when the husband said to me in the delivery room, “We have a daughter” just before she was whisked away to the NICU and then transferred to Children’s Hospital for her first surgery–a world away from me. But a girl we had. The same year we adopted two boys. And I pray God will bless you as he has us.
