It’s Finally Here! The Siesta Fiesta!

Yahoo-Jah! Amanda and I are packing a few last things this very second and Melissa is already at the airport in Atlanta. It’s Siesta Fiesta Time in San Antonio, Texas!! We are beside ourselves to see all of you who can come and will miss every last one of you that can’t. We’re going to raise the roof of praise in the Alamo Dome, do some synchronized diving into the glad river of Scripture then hug us as many Siesta necks as we can at our Saturday afternoon gathering!

We promise to bring back plenty of pictures so all of you can see some of the faces of sisters you’ve been blogging the faith with. (We blog by faith. Not by sight.)

Until then, the most important thing you could possibly do to lock arms with us is PRAY and, needless to say, not just for your dear Siestas but for every single person God will draw into His Presence. He has given me Ephesians 2:21-22 to pray for this event. I’d be so honored for you to agree with me in it:

Lord, cause the WHOLE BUILDING to join together and rise to become a holy temple in You. And in You let us all be built together to become a DWELLING IN WHICH YOU LIVE BY YOUR SPIRIT!

Wave the banner of Jesus’ Name over San Antonio, Abba Father.

I love all of you so much. Fight the good fight, young ladies. Fight the good fight!!

Beth,Amanda and Melissa, I just drove home to Austin from your event and the siesta gathering- I was most impressed with the organized manner in/by which all transpired-I’m an “old gal” so I can sit back and absorb the beauty of how God is touching us through your ministry. I watched the young, the tired and old as you so generously offered an intimate time with us. I believe God heals in so many ways and the fact you ladies are willing to just “be” and be “real” with your sisters is extraordinary. Although I may never have the priviledge of visiting wth you personally- I know we are all in this together-somehow we are connected in this journey- and I do know that my deepest dark night of the soul began ten years ago and I/my precious sons are emerging during year 11 and you have been one of the divine supports sent my way- oh how do I thank you and as Melissa said it so well- you are a spirital giant- not to put pressure on you know. I recognize that a gentle loving spirit(with lots of energy and history) often is the most chosen by our Lord to help us in this mysterious journey- Lots of love to all of you, Kathy

This weekend was such a blessing for me. I felt the Lord meet me there. And the fellowship I had with my sisers in Christ from our local congregation was wonderful. Beth, thank you so much for being faithful to your God and for sharing what you learn with us. God is helping me to overcome through your studies and the studies of others. I consider you a mentor and I praise God that you are a willing servant. Thank you for being a great example of a redeemed woman living her life before her God.

Just got back to the hotel after the pj party. What a wonderful way to end our time together! The names now have faces…and they are beautiful!!!

It stirred me to hear afresh and with a true understanding that I am HIS inheritance. MAN!!! I still don’t think I fully comprehend that and ALL that it means.

Miesta Moose is just so honored to have been a part of the Siestas. He’s was so excited Beth, that you held him for the group pic.

Loved every minute…even the bucking-bronco plane turbulence! We actually saw a rainbow out our plane window when we were flying back home to Georgia after the Siesta Fiesta! It was a blessing meeting so many wonderful Siestas and hugging Amanda in the Yellow group picture. Beth, Melissa, Amanda and Travis…ya’ll are AMAZING! And GeorgiaJan…she blessed me so much! I’ll be floating on the Siesta Fiesta Cloud playing my harp for a very long while. AND IT WAS NOT BORING! It was as close to heaven as it can get this side of Glory. GeorgiaJan and I were about to explode into glory listening to Beth and praising Jesus with Travis and his team. Thanks to all who made this event possible. I am blessed with a double portion every day.

    Beth, Amanda, and Melissa,

My mom, sister, and I arrived home late last night after an incredible weekend in San Antonio. There are just not enough words to describe how wonderful the worship was, how encouraing yet challenging your lessons were, and how God met with us this weekend. Thank you also for the “icing on the cake” with the Siesta Fiesta. You all were so real, so intimate, so loving- Though we didn’t get to hug your necks in person, we felt so privileged to be able to “talk” with you after such a wonderful weekend.

As so many said yesterday, thank you for your ministry and the many sacrifices you made along the way. Thank you for listening to God and being obedient to His will, even when it didn’t match up with your plans. And thank you for reminding us that we do have an awesome inheritance- And it is and will not be boring!

I pray that you have a wonderful and much deserved vacation, Beth. May your time away with Keith be refreshing and rejuvenating.

We love you all to pieces! Thank you for allowing us to be a community of believers with you. What a privilege it is to be a siesta!

    Beth,
I am just wondering if you would ever consider a conference at ShellPoint in Fort Myers, FL. It’s a retirement community where a bunch of cute, old ladies make the weekly trek to study your bible studies. (my g-ma included). It’s ABSOLUTELY beautiful and the women are hungry… just slightly resistant to flying and traveling to hear you in person. You would get a slight vacation and these ladies would about piddle in their pants to be able to host you. Feel free to contact me if you want to orchestrate a visit. ( c :

And Amanda I love yours too, you gals are AOK. In the picture time Beth you were looking right at my friend as you talk, and I tell you I about knocked her over trying to make that eye contact, it was a great time of getting to see another side of you guys. Anywhoo Love ya
