Deepening a Father’s Heart: A 25 Day Journal for Men

Siestas! We are so blessed to announce the availability of this brand new 25-day devotional journal for dads, written by our own Curtis Jones. We were delighted when God began to give him this vision and knew that the timing was perfect for Father’s Day. You’ve asked us a thousand times for something for men. Well, here you go! Our first offering! May God be praised! Each entry consists of a daily Scripture and devotional reading, suggested passages for further reading, application questions, and space for journaling prayers.

This devotional journal is our special offer for June and July with a donation of any amount. We want anyone who wants one to have one. If you are interested in grabbing hold of Deepening a Father’s Heart for a man in your life, follow this link.

We love you and desire to serve you faithfully! May God use every effort from this ministry to, in some way, glorify His Name and edify His people. It is our driving passion to see God’s people in God’s Word. We love you, Siestas!

Beth, I will send in a donation soon, but I am so scraping for money and trying to make sure I have plenty for the Siesta Fiesta in San Antonio.

I really would like for my man to have this devotion. I suppose if I am really supposed to get it for him, God will make the way.

At Bossier City LPL last March you read an old devotion with this prayer request – “Lord, please put Keith and I on a Budget…”

I feel like the best laid plans always fall apart and come to ruin. I ask you guys to pray and pray hard for my husband and I to find a budget that works with our shifting sand economy. Thanks a bundle.

AWESOME!! I will give this to my dad for Father’s day…how wonderful and precious-he is always hard to find gifts for, and this just calls his name! Thanks!!

Also, please say a quick prayer for me if you think about it. I am in a situation in a church where I feel like I am experiencing spiritual warfare all over the place. I know this isnt the place to post this 🙂 but I know someone will read and I would appreciate a quick word to the Father. I am having to be so wise and careful with my tongue in this situation, and its hard for me. My love for the youth I have worked with and my love for the Lord are being questioned in my face and with harsh words, and its hard just to do what I know I need to, which is just stand and be persecuted and be silent. Its a sticky situation that also involves an ex-boyfriend and his new girl…so Im having to be very careful with all that I do-especially when youth are watching. I tried to walk away from this situation, but things keep coming back to me, every week. It’s insane. Im seeking the Lord in how to handle this, but its still tough-especially when He calls me to keep loving these people who verbally hurt me and accuse me of false things. Thank you in advance for your prayers. [email protected]

Beth, so sorry about your little pal- he looked like an adorable and faithful companian. I still remember that loss in our own home, and sad to say more than other PEOPLE who passed. I guess i always saw that quiet stillness I was searching for in my dog’s eyes. Praying for you and yours. Please if you all can add a siesta to your prayers–it’s been a struggle as of late for me with marital dissappointments, a traumatic fall for my baby boy ( who miraculously made it and is doing wonderful) and well about 3 other tough things. My heart is tired and the counselor describes it as me having exceeded my dissappointment expectations :)- how many of us are there. Praying for you all, Love, Shell

    Thanks Curtis! 🙂

I have something I want to share that is off this topic but onto another one that is so important. I was browsing the IMB prayer requests this morning & found one I want to pass on to my Siestas:

“REUNION, INDIAN OCEAN ISLANDS. Please pray for the launching of the Beth Moore study “Breaking Free” in French on Reunion Island this month. Pray for the three Bible studies that missionary Lisa Jones will be leading in the north, the south and on the west coast of the island. Intercede for traveling mercies as she travels to the different cities. Pray that the women who participate in the study will be diligent as they study. Ask the Father to bless them as they learn to apply biblical truths to their lives, enabling them to break free from the issues that literally paralyze many of them in their Christian walk.”

“Breaking Free” literally changed my life & I know many of you Siestas would say the same. Will you join with me in praying for these French sisters…”Oui?” 🙂

    Blessings & Love….

    Thankyou for this resource!

    Praise the LORD for Curtis!

I just donated to get a copy for my man. We hadn’t really budgeted this mo for much of anything extra (we do Dave Ramsey style budgeting) but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity:) I’ll just take that donation out of my “blow $” for this mo.:)

Even though my man is not a father yet, there’s a real chance he could be; if not, then I could always give it to my father or my step-dad or my father-in-law one year (I’ve got options:). As long as some father gets a blessing out of it, right?

    Love you all,

I am also leaving a note to say that a group of Siestas in Charlottesville VA will be meeting. WE are going to do a study…”Living Free” by a one fantastic woman…Beth Moore!!. We are going to follow the same schedule. The leaders had already chosen this study…so we’ll be in the Word along side you all!

    Have a terrific day

    Georgia Jan says:

Beth: I ordered this as soon as I saw it available earlier this week. I am going to give it to my first-born son, Jeremy, for Fathers Day. He won’t be a father until this August when Zeke (Ezekiel) is born! But I know it will encourage him greatly and I couldn’t wait – he loves to journal too.

Jeremy is a pastor – he is beginning work on his doctorate, and I love to hear him preach. What blesses me is that when I get to attend his church and hear him preach, I hear the message and really forget about the fact that my son is the messenger.

I am a blessed woman indeed, and YOU and Living Proof ministry have imparted large investments to my life through your Bible studies, devotionals, conferences and this blog. Hallelujah and Amen!

    I love you so,

    Amanda says:

Hi ladies! The devotional journal was published here by Living Proof like Mom’s “Wising Up,” “Measureless Love” and numerous other CD’s. We worked closely with a professional graphic designer and had it printed by a company that LPM uses regularly for products we sell in our resource department. In order to keep costs low and get it done in time for Father’s Day, we had it done in the form of a paperback booklet. Our resource department wanted to release it first as a special offer, then in several months it will be available for regular purchase. Until then, keep in mind that the donation can be anything and certainly doesn’t have to exceed an estimated cost. I hope that helps! If anyone has any questions, email us at [email protected]. Blessings!

How do I get Deepening a Father’s Heart? Do I make a donation and then just click “Yes I want this month’s promotional item”?

I did not see this book in the bookstore. I’m assuming this is how I do it but want to make sure.

I’d like to get it for Father’s Day.

Thanks for offering something for the men in our lives, Curtis you are a welcome blessing. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for living a modest lifestyle!! We hear so much these days about the Spiritual leaders and teachers who live extravagant and wasteful lifestyles, and bring disgrace to the Lord with the critism. I am not on a soap box about “them” just complimenting you. Shalom

Congratulations on adding this wonderful son-in-law to the fold at LPM. His book will undoubtedly bless the hearts of Father’s everywhere in this season of thankfulness. I invite you all over to my blog this day for a tribute of sorts to my father who taught me how to find my voice. In doing so, he taught me to speak the language of my heavenly Father.

My love for him goes unmatched on this side of eternity. He has passed the torch of faith to me and to his grandkids in rich measure over the course of his 70 years.

I know, Beth and girls, you must feel the same about your father. We are all privileged to have them in our lives. May God continue to pass the torch of faith through his men in this generation.

HI Beth, Our church in Portland Oregon just finished up the Stepping Up bible study and it was amazing. I loved the music performed by Travis and the ladies and just want to say thank you for being such a “REAL” woman of God. I have done several of your studies and each one has blessed me in so many ways. As we get to know you more through the studies and videos, we commented yesterday that you feel like our sister!, and we love ya! Blessings to you and your family!

Well I can’t wait for Father’s Day this year. My husband is getting a new garden spade, a half gallon of ice cream (maybe I should make it a gallon so the spade will fit), and a devotional written by Curtis Jones!! It looks like it will be a Moore/Jones holiday at our house!!!

Thank you Curtis for thinking of our men. They need to be encouraged. Our family extends to Curtis and Keith our wishes for a very happy Father’s Day. God Bless.

I just ordered one for, as you Texans say, my man. Can’t wait until Father’s Day!

God’s timing is perfect. 18 months ago, at LPM in Seattle, I asked Keith during a rare Q&A, “What do you recommend for our spouses to read?” John Elderidge was the perfect answer for my guy that weekend, and “Deepening a Father’s Heart” is JUST what he desires today. God’s timing. Perfect.

Thank you, Curtis, and thank you LPM! Most of all, praise You, Jesus!

Thank you so much for offering this wonderful gift to our men. I followed the link but now I’m not so sure I actually did it right. (It’s late–I should go to bed!)

I don’t believe I clicked the little box that said something to the effect of “I would like to receive this month’s gift.” (or some such thing). Hopefully I didn’t need to and will receive it for my darlin’ husband.

If I don’t get a copy–I still count it a blessing to support your ministry.

    Many Blessings,

I would love to get this for my son; his baby is due at New Year’s.

Babies are wonderful, but his girlfriend found out she was pregnant about a month after they broke up. She is angry and hurt and planning an abortion. She has moved several states away to be with her family, and isn’t communicating with anyone here.

Please, can you pray for this baby and for my son? And for the girl; we care about her, my son is willing to raise the baby, and I don’t want to see her hurt by a bad decision made in anger.

    Thank you.
