I AM SO PROUD OF YOU I COULD DO TEN CARTWHEELS!!!!!

LET YOURSELF FEEL THE HOLY NOD OF GOD THIS WONDERFUL DAY, MY BELOVED SISTER.

YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING THAT HE ESTEEMS AS TREASURE BEYOND PRICE.

HE HAS LISTENED INTENTLY EVERY TIME YOU’VE SAID A VERSE OUT LOUD AND RECOGNIZED THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE WITH DEEP AFFECTION.

HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.

LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.

LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.

Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???

You have been a stellar group and you’ve kept to the exact instructions with every single entry, limiting them to the verse alone. This time when you leave your verse, you get to leave a comment with it. Testify! Boast in the Lord! Tell us a specific way God used this year of Scripture memory in your priceless life.

Hallelujah Chorus

Beth, Houston. Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2b-3 ESV

Cindy, living in Cochem, Germany: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

This has been a wonderful discipline for me over this past year, and I plan to continue memorizing Scripture as long as I can!

Learning the verses have given such structure and depth to this year. I feel changed and I am definitely deeper in my relationship with Him!
Although I am currently being tested the verses keep popping into my head and I am coming to really know the peace of The Lord.
Are we doing this again next year?

      Hi Jackie,

This is my 2nd time doing SSMT. I too hope to do this the year after i started but i learned last year that Beth does this every other year because she has another focus at Living Proof on the even years. I don’t know if it will be different next year but prepare yourself for continuing this either alone or in a smaller community next year. If you want someone to be accountable to who will be working to continue on her own, you can email me 🙂

      God bless!

If possible, I’d like to have the words UNTIL THE DAY DAWNS chiseled on my grave marker.May every day “dawn anew” with the light of our Lord Jesus Christ burning ever more brightly in our hearts and shedding light in a dark world.

This year in my life has not been an easy one. But God never fails to speak His Word into every circumstance I wake up to. His Word is alive and active, and I’ve sure needed it to be! Each verse throughout this year has revealed something new I’ve learned about Him, and He has used it to develop something new in me. I crave the Word more now than I ever have. Every single verse spoke to me in a very specific way throughout the year. They helped me see where and how God was working and helped me to feel the ever present reality of Jesus in my life.

Hiding God’s word in my heart through SSMT has given me the very life and hope that only can be found in Jesus…The Word. Scripture has filled my heart and soul and carried our family thorough during my husbands cancer treatments and as we await the word ‘remission’. Our hope is in Him alone.
God was fun and faithful in that He provided a group of women from church who all memorized together. We would put our verses on Intsagram each 1st and 15th of the month and encourage one another.
God doesn’t waste a thing. I love Him more because of this scripture memory challenge

I’ve memorized Psalm 103 this year. When I began in January I had no idea my husband would be diagnosed with cancer in May. This psalm is about blessing The Lord and remembering all His benefits…forgiveness, healing, tender mercies, loving kindness to name a few! Gary is cancer free and will lead worship this morning! I am a thankful blessed woman. Thank you Beth and LPM for all you do for us!

      Bless The Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me,
      Bless His holy name!

Michelle, Houston, “Now to King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 1:17, NIV I’ve memorized with a small group of dear friends from near and far and the post reminders have kept us united in prayer for one another. The Word is the most powerful tool I have against the enemy and memorizing it has helped me feel His strength in times of weakness. Without accountability, I am not the type to push myself, so this challenge has been key. I am really looking forward to the celebration, thank you!

I can’t believe I’ve made it! I’m so grateful that I’ve gone on this journey of memorization. This has been a tough year for me physically, and these verses have been a lifeline for me. I’ve seen the Lord bring them to light in so many different contexts throughout my days, and He’s opened up opportunities to encourage others with them in ways I never imagined (at the grocery store, with my women’s group, with my kids). Praise be to the LORD who created me. Truly a new song is in my mouth.

For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can be compared with it.
    Proverbs 8:11 NLT

This year has been amazing and I’ve so enjoyed each verse I’ve been trying to memorize, each one has a story attached to it. This last one begins a new journey for me…leading a Bible study in the inner city with native women…a stretch beyond what I’ve ever done when leading Bible study. God is taking me into the prison as well. I’m amazed at what He is doing!
I am super pumped to be coming from Saskatchewan to join you for the celebration in Houston. Never been there before! I feel it’s a very small reward, nothing that can be compared to what will be in heaven, but definitely a reward for serving God here on earth. Can’t wait to meet you all, to be a part of the celebration, see where you all are and also to be a guest at the opening night of Tuesday night Bible study. It will be such a blessing! ♥
    God bless you all!!

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.”
    Psalm 77:11 ESV

I have never been able to memorize Scripture for more than a very short term purpose. God has honored my heart and my petitions in such a tremendous way! The Holy Spirit has been my Helper throughout the entire year leading me to the Scriptures to memorize, reminding to practice, and burning the Word on my mind & heart. I know it is all Him – and I give Him all the credit – because I have never been able to do it on my own no matter how hard I tried. I praise my God and will remember His deeds. “I’m off and running and I’m not looking back.” Philippians 3:14 MSG

Memorizing and meditating on specific portions of Scripture has kept me accountable to studying and enjoying God’s Word as I seek His truth and promises for the various things going in my life. It has drawn me closer to Him and allowed me to experience Him in new and exciting ways. I praise God for this lovely community and the opportunity to immerse myself intentionally in His Word in 2013. Blessings to you all and Merry Christmas!

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace, because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
    Romans 15:13 (NIV)

God has blessed me with so much this year. I have learned to listen and to be obedient to what He says, even if it isn’t the path I would have chosen for myself. I was privileged to be in the LPL audience in Phoenix in March and hope to see Beth in 2014, either in Memphis or Spokane. Four years ago I didn’t know whether the Israelites were the good guys or the bad guys, and now God has me as a facilitator of one of Beth’s Bible Studies, The Patriarchs. Halleluiah, praise HIM!
