Passion 2013 Prayer Partners

Happy Friday, Siestas! Did you hear the big sigh of relief coming from LPM this morning? We made it to the end of the week alive and well! I told one of my co-workers yesterday at lunch that I’ve never wanted a week to slow down more than this one. But, we’re so happy and grateful to serve each of you!

The ministry will shut down at noon today and then each of us will scamper off to our Christmas destinations, however, before Christmas gets completely past us, I wanted to bring your attention back to Passion 2013. Do you remember last year when we were able to scholarship and meet with 1000 young women at Passion? If you remember, a few months ago we announced that this year when we wanted to give out scholarships to 2000 young women to attend the conference.

Well, it was our desire that, after giving out each of the scholarships, we could rally together 2000 Siestas (you!) again to partner with each of these girls and pray for them. Listen, if the Passion team is believing God to fill the dome this year, why can’t we believe God to provide 2000 prayer partners?

So, I am thrilled to announce that we have our website up and running to make that happen!

Here is what you need to do: Click on this link.

When you get to that page, the instructions are very clear how you can receive the name of the girl you will be praying for.

Here’s why we need to bounce on this with both feet: Passion is January 1st – 4th so it’s coming up very quick! If you could take five minutes to do that, we would appreciate you more than you know and some wonderful young woman’s experience at Passion may be altogether intensified. You might put her name in your phone every day as a reminder to pray for her before, during and after Passion.

At the bottom of the page, right before you enter your email address, there is a “counter”. If you see “0” then that means there are no longer any girls available. Praise the Lord! However, don’t let that stop you from joining this army of prayer warriors January 1st – January 4th while we’re all at Passion.

We love you ladies so much and hope you know what a vital part you’re playing in each of these girls’ lives. Let’s make sure each of them are lavishly covered by name. We know the Lord will show up and can’t wait to see lives changed and transformed. I am sure when we get back we’ll have a tremendous report for you. We know you’ll want to hear all about it!

Thank you for partnering with us and praying. We love you all so much!

Lindsee, I signed up for 5 girls’ names. The fourth and fifth place names were the same (Aaron Bauer ????). Is that a girl? Are there one or two more names you want to give me. I will pray for them. Email me and let me know.

My daughter and her two best friends (all three college freshmen–3 different colleges) were given a scholarship. We knew they all wanted to attend Passion this year but didn’t know they applied for the scholarship–what a wonderful blessing! We are so grateful! These three girls love God and His Word. (I purchased the SSMT spirals for them and for their moms to do this year!)

I was moved to years to find that someone (besides my husband and I!) will be
prayingfor my daughter during those days. Thank you to whomever has Rebekah (and Bea and Kathleen!) I am going to go sign up for my own girl to pray for!

I tried to see if there was a link to the scholarship but couldn’t find one. Does this mean that LPM has reached their cap? This would be my first time ever going. Please let me know. Thanks and God bless

I’ve been waiting and watching for this! Last year when I signed up I set a reminder on my phone. It still goes off every day at 8 am and i still pray for these girls. But here’s the coolest thing: my son also attended passion 2012 so of course I was reminded to pray for him as well. He came home and shared with his dad and me that he gave his heart to Christ at one of the sessions. So now when that reminder pops up I pray for these precious girls and my son to grow deeper and stay in the Word.

    How cool–they’re ALL TAKEN!!
I however have another request for you, siestas! I will serve as a Doorholder (Passion’s term for volunteers taken from Psalm 84:10–“I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”) for Passion 2013! I am serving on the intercession team. There is 24-hour prayer throughout the whole conference, and we, as praying intercessors, need prayer too! Can I ask that as you read this and then as God would graciously bring us to mind, would you pray for me and the other intercessors at Passion?
    THANKS, sisters!

  38. 38

Praying for my young women who are at Passion 2013 and I was moved to look in on the podcasts to see just what the experience must be for them.
I was so blessed to see all of these young men and women, earnestly seeking the Lord, in prayer and in praise.
And, Beth, I was blessed to see you as you spoke so powerfully to them on the last supper. It was a Spirit filled, emotionally moving lesson. Thank you so much for being there for them and giving yourself wholly to what the Lord had set out for you to teach.
You bless us all with your gift of teaching God’s Word.

    Rebekah says:

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who prayed for those of us who went to Passion! I am so thankful that God allowed me to go through receiving one of the scholarships! I have been struggling with stuff that is going on with one of my brothers, but I’ve done my best to stay strong for my Mom, to be “her rock” as she says. I didn’t realize how much I was pushing my own emotions and hurt out of my mind and ignoring them until Passion, when all of that came out. God used Passion to teach me to have a bigger view of Him, trusting that He is always faithful, instead of praying for something and preparing myself for the worst, telling myself that it may not be God’s will at the time. During Passion, I started to pray for my brother, believing 100% that there would be improvement by the time I got home on Friday. When I got home, there had been a definite improvement in the situation. While things aren’t perfect, there has been a change for the better and God is working in my brother’s life. I plan to keep my wristband on for a while as a reminder of what God showed me during Passion. I can’t thank you enough for your prayer and the opportunity to be a part of Passion 2013!

    Jenna A. says:

So I’m not sure which wonderful woman diligently prayed for me during my time at the Passion conference but I just wanted to say thank you!! The whole week I could see how God had prepared my heart and poured grace on me to learn and grow during my time there. I was incredibly exhausted at times BUT God sustained me and gave me HIS peace to have great joy despite my physical tiredness. If you were the one who had my name to pray for me, I would love to talk to you and thank you in conversation! God used you in my life, thank you!!
