Pop Quiz!

Hey, Sweet Things! How about a pop quiz?? Come on, let’s do it! But only under one condition: NO CONDEMNATION. Not one iota and I mean it. If you’re down on yourself today or somebody’s made you feel dumb or if you’ve been compulsively running like a wild woman from every spiritual discipline like we all do sometimes, you get a hall pass. This is just for fun for those who think this kind of thing is a bit exhilarating. Translation: it’s Nerd Day in Siestaville. If you’re not into the classroom thing, pass this post by and catch up on some old ones. We’ll post a new one soon.

For those of you who want to participate, please limit your comments to the question number and briefest possible response. Some of them will be simple yeses and nos. On the questions that apply, you can by all means use your Bibles but try to answer as many as possible without them. You might consider the object of the game to see how fast you can answer all of these amid the page flipping. Needless to say,  you’ll need to answer your questions without reading any of the comments first. Cheating would be a tad counterproductive. Grin. You might do the test on a Word document then copy and paste it in your comment.

    20. Yep. Process has been going on for one year even after I sought her out and apologized for opening my mouth. Someone through me under the bus after I opened my mouth even though what I said was not how she repeated it. I actually said it in defense of the person who hates me but for some reason it was repeated differently. I recognize now I should not have said it at all. I called the person it hurt and apologized. She said some very hurtful things about me. I’ve never been in this situation but God is teaching me to keep my mouth shut through it. I want to plea my case because I have been treated unfairly but instead of opening my mouth to anyone I just keep telling Him about it and so far He continues to put me in a situation where I must trust Him to have the courage to show up at events and put a genuine smile on my face and a sweetness in my tone. It is hard but I keep thinking how Christ was treated so unfairly and he still forgave.

No on cop out! Really important to let a long portion get down nice and deep before you stack on top of it. It’s only a cop out if we’re not reviewing the one we’re hoping to retain. With long portions, I try not to move on until I can say it a number of times without a ton of mistakes. Thanks for participating today, Sue!

    Hello Siesta Mama,
I’m sorry I’m not up for a quiz. I’m not even sure I should even comment as I feel like maybe I’m raining on a parade. There were shootings in Mpls here last week and my friend Keith a UPS driver who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, just delivering a package was shot and killed. He has been one of my closest friends for more than 30 years. I feel like someone has plunged a sword through my soul. Would you pray for me Siesta Mama? I’m in so much pain I can hardly breathe. I keep thinking of Mary Beth Chapman. I know her pain must have run ten times deeper, but right now I can hardly fathom. At night I I crawl in bed and I close my eyes and picture myself curled up in my Heavenly Father’s arms and I tell my Daddy (my Heavenly Father) how much I hurt and I go to sleep.

    Jeremiah 31:15-17 The Message

    Again, God’s message:
    “Listen to this!
Laments coming out of Ramah, wild and bitter weeping. It’s Rachel weeping for her children,
    Rachel refusing solace.
Her children are gone, gone—long gone into exile.”
But God says, “Stop your incessant weeping,
    hold back your tears.
Collect wages from your grief work.” GOD’S DECREE. “They’ll be coming back home! There’s hope for your children.” GOD’S DECREE.
